Other Common Facilities :
 

Transport : Although public transport exists, DBIT has its own buses for convenience of students  and staff  for easy mobility. DBIT has 16 (52 seater buses).

Medical Facilities: The students are medically examined by a medical Doctor, once in every month, to ensure physical fitness of students. A dispensary with all necessary requirements  caters to the medical needs and health problems of the students, in order to providing a caring and sharing environment, conducive to their sound health. The parents/ guardians, are required to furnish a physical/ medical fitness certificate at the time of admission. First aid medical facility is available round the clock.

Bookshop & Stationary: The DBIT bookshop in the campus stocks publication/ books/magazines and stationary for the convenience of both, Day scholars and hostlers.                                  

Canteen & Mess: The Institute provides canteen and mess facilities to the students, faculty and    staff. Most of the daily need items and refreshments are available with – in campus at DBIT  canteen, which remain open from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Availability of tasty and nutritious food at subsidized/ reasonable rates are ensured by DBIT. Separate mess facilities are there, for Boys and Girl Hostels.

 Stores:  The General store caters to the stationery and other requirements like domestic goods, toiletry, provisions, etc. The store also stocks publications, audio/video cassettes, herbal/ ayurvedic  products, etc.

Guest House:  A Guest House comprising of AC and Non-AC rooms is available on nominal charges.

Digital Identities:   We are in the process of issuing standard Digital Photo ID’s with special bar -coding and swipe facility. These cards automate the process of lending and return of books in the library, controlled entry to limited access areas, like the hostel campus, cafeteria, computer labs and DBIT transport.

 Banking and ATM Facility :   An extension counter of Punjab National Bank is functioning in the separate building on all working days. Students can make use of the personal facilities at the extension counter. The bank provides a 24 hour ATM facility and ATM cards have been issued to     all students, faculty and staff members.

Reprographic and STD services: Students can make use of the photocopying facility available at the institute on payment. They may also make local/STD/ISD calls from the booths located inside  the campus on payment.

DBIT is providing following special facilities :

  • Wi – Fi enabled wireless campus and hostel.
  • Laptop to every student with latest software packages.
  • Providing free courses on latest software of 80 hrs duration to students with the support of HP / HCL.
  • Idea Mobile Communication System provides special serial number SIM to each Student & Staff.

     

    Free Computer Awareness :  In addition to the Engineering course, DBIT offers Computer education to all the students with integrated theory and practical subject. The course is also designed to train student in some of the Computer Programming languages.

     Online Attendance System :

  • All students must obtain 75% attendance to be eligible for the University Examination.
  • The University requires that a minimum of 75% attendance must be maintained.
  • Any students who fail to obtain      this percentage will be suitable punished.
  • Any candidate who does not had adequate attendance & progress in any subject will not be permitted for the examination.
  • Attendance process has been fully computerized and students may check their up-to-date attendance online.

     

    Semester-wise Progress Report : Institute will dispatch semester wise progress report to the parents, highlighting    the achievements and drawbacks of their wards, attendance and internal test results will also be reflected in this report.

     Games and Sports Facilities: Facilities for games like cricket, volleyball, badminton already in place. Facilities for other games like Football, Tennis, Table Tennis, etc have been developed within the college. Every year a large number of Institute and Inter-Institutional level games and sports events are organized by the institute.

     Extra Curriculum Activities: Inter disciplinary Debate competition, Quiz Competition, Essay writing, Practice sessions to make presentations, Industrial Tours, to see Operating Plants in Industry, are the parts of extra curricular activities, action on which has been initiated.

    Soft Skill Development Facilities:  Students are encourage to follow proper dress code, undertake presentations practice sessions, mock Personal interviews with a view to developed soft skills to  enter into a corporate life keeping with heritage and ethical values.

     Software Development Cell.

    To promote practical exposure and team spirit among the students the Institution has established  an Inhouse Software Development Cell with distinguished Hardware & Software facilities in order to infuse Developmental Exposure & Skills to the Students and  to the Faculty Members, so as to equip them to match the requirement of the Industry.

    Corporate Training Center 

    To provide state of the art experience and practical exposure on latest technologies, the Institute has established Corporate Training Centre, in association with various Corporate Houses, namely CATIA, PRO-E,SAP,SUN, CISCO ,HCL REDHAT, ORACLE etc. This cell, is conducting various Value Addition Modules viz. CCNA, SCJP, RHCE,VLSI,VHDL,Embeded System etc OCA, OCP, etc at No Cost.  Certified Trainers of HCL & HP regularly conduct the Programs on various cutting edge technologies, within the premises of the Institutions at The Dev Bhoomi Campus.  HP conducts regular courses in the campus for the benefit of students, such as DOT NET, LINUX etc.

    Entrepreneurship Development Cell: The Institution has established Entrepreneurship Development Cell in Association with Ministry of Industry & Industrial Development, Govt of India. A Chapter in this regard has been established in Dev Bhoomi Campus to conduct regular activities for the benefit of the Students.

    IIT Mumbai- CDEEP Program:  The Institution has entered into the MOU with IIT Mumbai, to offer Online Lectures and Study Material to its Students through VSAT. Students and Faculty Members use this facility to explore newer opportunities in the field of Research & Development, to augment their knowledgebase.

    Personality Development by Experts: The Institution has arranged Modern Personality Development Course Sessions, by the Eminent Experts for its students, so that they may meet the expectations of the Corporate  world.
